Posistion: Sea Freight Forwarder
(Fulltime - 40 hours)
Are you seeking a dynamic, hands-on logistics role where every day brings something new? As a Sea Freight Forwarder at Cargo Company, you act as the key link between customers, shipping lines, and internal teams, ensuring all ocean freight shipments are handled efficiently, on time, and according to plan.
You will join a small, dedicated team of around 10 colleagues where teamwork, open communication, and initiative are highly valued. We are looking for someone who enjoys organizing, takes ownership, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate import and export sea freight shipments.
- Maintain daily communication with customers, shipping lines, and colleagues.
- Handle the administrative processing of booking, documentation, and customs paperwork accurately and on time.
- Monitor shipment progress and act immediately in case of delays or issues.
- Suggest process improvements to increase efficiency and customer satisfaction.
- Work in day shifts from 08:00 to 17:00 / 17:30.
Requirements
- MBO-level education (secondary vocational), preferably in logistics or transport.
- Knowledge of ocean freight documentation and customs procedures is a plus.
- Proactive, stress-resistant, and strong communicator.
- Good command of Dutch or English; knowledge of German is a plus.
- Positive attitude and takes responsibility.
